1990s - Membership Growth
In 1991 LTC shoe tag system was introduced to try to minimise unpaid visitor’s fees and unauthorised use of courts. We also saw the formation of a Sunday Afternoon Social Club.
By 1993 times had changed again, and the Club became a ‘smoke free zone’.
In 1995 committee member, architect Soo-tee Cheong’s plans for the patio extension, pergola and enclosed grass area were completed at a cost of $34,824.
In 1996 to encourage court usage and junior membership, the still very popular “Family Membership” was introduced. This enabled entire families to become members by paying fees for 2 adults and 1 child only. Our membership was soon at its highest since inception at 450.
In 1990 courts 2-5 were resurfaced and again in 1999 all five courts were resurfaced.
